RBA-40
Firmware update
The first step to be performed with the RBA is to choose the firmware based on what has been requested. The firmware enables the bill accpetor to accept the bank note based on the firmware installed. We use the:
JCM Downloader Suite edition Version 1.11
We are then required to choose firmware and click download.
After 2 minutes the process is complete when it states online in Green.
Calibration
The calibration of the RBA requires many steps in order to be performed. To begin with it, we are required to open the JCM tool suite standard edition. After that we get to choose from the system mode: System justification.
Important notes:
Before we start the calibration, we have to trun the pin 8 to ON.
When we put the JCM cable we have to wait for the red, green and yellow light.
We place the USB connection cable which is in black.
If the 8 pin is not turned on, we will only get three choices in the JCM tool command, so it is important to switch the pin 8 to ON before placing the JCM cable.
After all these rules have been set accordingly, we open the tool and start the calibration. By placing the Black calibration card inside the RBA. We then choose the blue command to do the white calibration and click on start. It takes a few seconds, and the first calibration is finished.
Second calibration: EBA SENSOR ADJUSTMENT.
We open the purple tool command and note that it is a calibration that starts without the use of the black calibration paper at first. We click on start. After that we get a command that states that we need to insert a reference paper which is the black calibration card, and then we press start.
We then need to remove the calibration card and press start.
After these steps we get a command that says: Bar sensor disabled. And we click okay.
After the Bar sensor command, we get a command in Hungarian which we should choose: Nem.
We then get a command that says the calibration succeeded.
Performance Test.
The performance test is one of the chosen tools that needs to be performed after the calibration is done in order to see if the bill notes are accepted to the RBA- 40 or not. After clicking on the performance test category and then choosing:
ACCEPT TEST
After the accept test has been chosen, we wait for the initialization sound that RBA produces. We are then able to place actual money to the RBA and see if it accepts it or not. If it is accepted, the bill note will be taken in and exit from the other end. If it refuses it, then the firmware installed does not match the currency being tested.
Note: In this process bills get stuck on the other end of the RBA, which makes the other inserted bill rejected. In that case, we need to click.
Stop and then start.
This restarts the performance test again accordingly.
