The unit put the requested return note + one additional into the cashbox.
It did correct the sensor status to 2 bills less in the recycler as before the payout. Should they always trust the recycler note count after this or is it possible that in some cases moves more than 2 bills?
Client did a few tests, where they:
1. glued together 2 bills one on top of each other - resulted in counters being decreased by 1
2. one after another - resulted in counters being decreased by 2.
Answer:
iPro-RC checks the length and thickness of a note during payout to detect if more than one note is being dispensed, unfortunately it cannot be 100% sure if it is one or more notes. If iPRO-RC detects an error it will send the note(s) to the stacker and try again, it will also try to determine if it was likely to be one note (maybe damaged or dirty) or two notes and reduce the counter by that amount.
That means that the counter for iPRO-RC is not 100% reliable. We have made improvements in the decision making to reduce by one or two notes in the past but unfortunately it is not possible to reliably know if it was one or two notes.
